My Little Chefs

After weeks and weeks of over 100 degrees heat index, I am running out of fun indoor activities.  I can only vacuum up so much play-doh and Claire still likes to eat a little paint every time we paint (see here)..... so, today we baked!

Which, as always, turned into a dance party in the kitchen.

Four Months and Food

Declan is four months old!  This is all going way too fast.  He had his four month appointment on Monday and was 14 lbs 5.5 oz. and 24 inches long.  He had to get a lot of shots, which is always so sad, but he was tough.  Dr. Matray also gave Declan the thumbs up to try some food.  It is so amazing watching the kids try new things.  The little guy has eaten one thing since he was born and then we stick something crazy in his mouth.  Declan wasn't sure at first, but he warmed up to it.

Tess was super excited to be a part of this milestone and has since been announcing that everything Declan does is "for the first time." And explains to Claire why that is "so exciting!"  I love the joy the kids bring each other.

Beach Living

There haven't been many posts lately because we have been lucky enough to be living a beach life this summer.  The kids and I spent more than half of July at the lake and Chris joined us for the last seven days of it.  Our vacation with our Dada was much needed.  He works so hard and the kids and I were so so happy to have him around for such a wonderful vacation.  Some of the fun:

Kevin found a princess app to cheat with on a princess card game with Claire.  Claire is now obsessed with "Kevin Doyle" as she calls him because he knows all the princesses.
