Don't worry about it

Chris and I both had a "don't worry about it" experience with Tess this week.

Today, Tess came up from the basement and asked me for a towel.  Suspicious, I asked "why?"  Her answer, "no reason ... don't worry about it."  She kept telling me over and over, as I inquired, not to worry that "it was nothing" and she "just needed a towel."  As I followed her to the basement, all 3 feet of her tried to box me out!  All it was was a small mess she made with her water bottle.

When I told Chris the funny story, he told me that he had a similar experience over the weekend. Tess had been in the bathroom for awhile with the water running and he asked her what was going on in there, her response: "don't worry about it, dad."  He eventually went in and found Tess' arms covered with marker and a very messy bathroom resulting from the attempted cover-up.

Also, today, Tess for some reason was saying "poop, poop, poop."  Of course, Claire chimed in and kept repeating.  I told the girls that "poop" was a yucky word and not to say it for no reason.  Tess, a little sad, said okay we'll stop.  Claire, looking straight at me, said "pee pee, pee pee, pee pee."  Oh, this sassy trouble-maker with her sister there to help her cover it up are going to keep Chris and I on our toes.
